Redirect! From now on, if you'd like to follow our adventures, go to www.bedangeroustogether.com
Because uploading pictures here was taking forever, and the format is much nicer over there. Happy summer!

Allo?

Bonjour! The past few days have been a mess of World Cup fever, exploring Lyon as much as possible on our last day there, and waking up at 5 to take a train to Nancy. So in order, the Americans were absolutely cheated by a bad call in their match against the Slovs, la musee de la resistance was trop cool, and Nancy is incredible. Technically it's not as big as Lyon, but it seems a lot more like an economic center. We're staying with Guillaume, an old friend of Jeremy's, and today we're gonna go see some monkeys. :D
My french is slowly slowly slowly getting better. Today's father's day, isn't it? Shoutout to my dad <3. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves here.

Beaujolais (Wine Country)

Beautiful beautiful beautiful, but don't take my word for it.

Lions, tigers, and bears! That's right, we visited the zoo at Parc de la TĂȘte d'Or, where rain and wind could do little to dampen the enthusiasm of the monkeys and me. When the rain did get a little serious, we ran for cover in J's grandparents' flat.

Yesterday was my fourth trip into Lyon, after Francois' first confirmation, to meet up with Jeremy's friend Tiffany and enjoy pride (10,000 attendants is the average estimate).

^_^

Bonjour! I've been slacking on posting on account of too much to do, see, soak up. Yesterday Jeremy and I caught a ride with his mother into Lyon (We're staying right at the edge, in Beaujolais, wine country). Lyon is fantastic! Two H&Ms a few blocks from each other, the best lunch I've ever had (Flaky crust with tomatoes, zucchini, mozzarella, and basil sauce..mmmmm), and my first legal beer ever. I have to say, it does taste better on this side of the law.
I'm finally over jet-lag and being a little culture-shocked, but by 7 or so each night my brain gets exhausted and wants to sleep already from all the translation effort. Necessity is the mother of invention, as they say.
But enough boring text, you want pictures!

Fatiguee...

Salut!
I've spent 12 hours sleeping off jet-lag, but the worst of it is over. I was pleasantly surprised to see Jeremy when I arrived in Paris, but sad to leave him there for the next 6 hours while I caught my connecting flight to Lyon. Now that we're here, things couldn't be better. The weather is spot-on, the Mouton's home is like a dream, and I'm slowly switching my brain over to French.
Later, a grocery run but for now, just soaking up the peace and quiet.
First view of France.
